Giba Gorge has over 30km of main trails, linked up with another 10km of alternative routes, plus hikes and trails that lead to the upper Mackintosh waterfall destination. For the extremists there is another larger waterfall and perhaps even the early Rock Shelter predating all modern history in the area.

Cycle Tours in Durban

Horseback Riding and Horse Beach Rides
Currently offering only rural and township rides during Advanced Level 3, but the main attraction is usually beach rides which remain restricted until Level 3 restrictions are lifted. Groups are currently limited to six, with masks and social distancing in place.
Reunion beach, a 20-minute drive south of Durban, is the setting for the popular horseback beach rides, accommodating riders from ages 5-60yrs old of all levels. Trails are between 2 and 7 hours long with afternoon, sunset and evening trails. You’ll also have the opportunity to swim with your horse. Familiar with the beach and sea, these well-trained horses also enjoy the chance to cool off in the waves. As these rides are on soft beach sand, rider weight is limited to 80kg. Riders must wear long pants and closed shoes and the riding helmet is provided.
Shark Cage Diving
South Africa is one of the few countries in the world where you can dive with sharks in the open water and see Great White Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Zambezi Sharks to name but a few, many of which can be seen frequently along the Durban coastline, particularly at Aliwal Shoal! See 5 to 20 sharks on a 30–minute cage dive in the open sea – no diving experience required.
