As part of the eThekwini Municipality, Sodurba encompasses the Bluff, Merebank, Wentworth, Austerville, Isipingo, Treasure Beach, Mobeni, Jacobs, Prospecton, Woodlands, Montclair, Yellowwood Park, Clairwood, the Harbour and Wilson’s Wharf.
It covers a stretch of 40 by 10kms and has a great deal to offer both locals and visitors from other parts of the country and around the world.

Situated on the Durban Bluff, Treasure Beach Education Centre specialises in teaching children and university students about coastal and marine conservation. At low tide, the rock pools are literally a treasure trove of fascinating creatures, from crabs and octopus to marine molluscs and surf anemones. Children, especially, enjoy the challenge of seeing who can spot the most amazingly camouflaged animals, hiding in cracks and crevices in the rocks.
