The Port Natal Maritime Museum exists to provide visitors with a glimpse into our rich maritime heritage. Durban is a major port city and the maritime industry is a large contributor not only to the welfare of the city and it’s people, but to the rest of South Africa and it’s neighbours.

The Bluff Eco Park provides Budget-Friendly Accommodation set under a tranquil canopy of subtropical dune forest flora. Our accommodation comprises of Self-Catering Rustic Cabins, sleeping 2 to 6 guests each; Spacious Caravan and Camping sites, which have newly renovated porcelain-tiled ablutions and washrooms; and our Eco-Friendly Dormitory, which accommodates up to 60 people with its own private ablutions and kitchen area. On-site you can find the Oasis swimming pools with braai area, a TV room with DStv and a pool table, Blush Nail Bar, Revitalize Day Spa, the Masterchef Coffee Shop, and the Eco Park Car Wash.

Rocky shores, dune forests, mangrove swamps and wetlands – Treasure Beach has it all. Situated on the Durban Bluff, Treasure Beach Education Centre specialises in teaching children and university students about coastal and marine conservation. At low tide, the rock pools are literally a treasure trove of fascinating creatures, from crabs and octopus to marine molluscs and surf anemones. Children, especially, enjoy the challenge of seeing who can spot the most amazingly camouflaged animals, hiding in cracks and crevices in the rocks.
